Cobble Hill

Almost the entire neighborhood, predominantly a residential neighborhood of brownstone row houses, is included in the Cobble Hill Historic District.  The neighborhood has always been popular for professionals commuting to Lower Manhattan, due to the area’s close proximity to the South Ferry Landing Terminal– now home to a new section of Brooklyn Bridge Park.
This part of Atlantic Avenue, the boarder between Clinton Hill and Brooklyn Heights, is part of the Atlantic Avenue Master Design planning effort and the site of the annual Atlantic Antic street fair.
The neighborhood has a relatively high proportion of seniors, who mostly reside in the Cobble Hill Health Center. The community is working to identify potential resources for senior recreation, transportation, and educational programming.
